A Strong Team

"Where there's a will, there's a way" - With this credo in mind the initiators Yves Bozzio, suffering from muscular dystrophie, and Bernhard Gerster, Head of the Automotive Department at the BFH-TI, built up a R&D-Team. With the financial aid of the CTI, the Swiss Confederation's innovation promotion agency, and several associations for handicapped people, the project team began to expand. Today, the team consists of Automotive-, Electrical-, Software-, and Mechanical Engineers.

In 2006, the core team established the Bozzio Company. The company holds all the rights of joysteer®. The primary purpose of the company is the manufacturing and distribution of joysteer®. In 2008, the founders transformed the Bozzio ltd. into the Bozzio inc. with their own means.

Since April 2009, Bozzio inc is fully operational especially due to the support of the Swiss paraplegic foundation (SPS), the ASRIM, Foundation of technological innovation (STI) and the Bern university of applied science (BFH-TI)

Since 2009 joysteer® is available on the market. joysteer passed all the required tests to fulfill the European homologation. In addition, practical tests confirmed the good driving performance of joysteer.

In 2010 the European wide Market introduction was done. Production and Distribution was build- up. The product gains a good customer reputation in all respects.

In 2011, Bozzio ltd could establish a Partnership with industrial partners. Bozzio ltd and their partners can handle all the needed disciplines (Production, Marketing and Distribution). Within this year, joysteer will gain market shares within the existing countries, but also by opening new European countries.
